Sugarcoated (Morals)

Sugarcoated (Morals) |Community food performance|Sandarbh Residency, Partapur|2010

SUGAR-COATED (MORALS) takes reference from the famous Indian sweet Jalebi. Originally spiral shaped, this is a deep-fried, sugar-coat sweet readily available in a very sweet shop in India.
A collaboration with one of the street food vendors, Rajesh Bhai from Partapur in exploring the techniques of Jalebi making, gave way to Sugar Coated (Morals).
100 pieces of Jalebis after they were made in the shape of the word Sanskar (Morals in English) were distributed for free at Rajesh Bhai’s handcart in the market.
